morton the rabbit

Today i was at my friend's house and her cat presented her mother with a baby rabbit. her mother immediatly took the rabbit out of the cat's mouth. we all got a chance to hold it; my friend, her little sister, and I. We named it morton. We were really sad to have to watch him go away but we knew we had to. We took him to where we found him with the cat and set him down. He looked around for a few seconds, took a few sniffs, and then darted off. He looked like he knew where he was going. If you ever see an adorable little brown rabbit with a white mark on his forehead it might be Morton. :)

I'm No Chicken. I Just Stand Up for One.

Chickens, yes. They are so cute and cuddly when they are first hatched right? So soft and small, you just want to pick it up and carry it in your palms forever. I'm assuming you realize when you go to the store, or fast-food drive thru, and order chicken nuggets, your eating a most likely older version of that. And if you don't, well, you are. Isn't that sad? Some people have chickens as pets. If you are going to eat chicken, (which I don't) try to get chicken that specifically says that the chickens were treated humanely. Same with eggs. The picture is from modestine.wordpress.com.

Mars Candy

Don't you love the smell of when you peel the wrapper of a sweet Twix bar and you know that your hard earned money went to a cause well spent? Maybe it isn't. Don't you ever wonder what might have happened for your pleasure of eating a yummy, yummy, sinful chocolate bar. Well you might not know exactly how sinful it is. Mars Inc. has done a series of harmful if not deadly tests on lab rats and mice. In one experiment, the rats were force-fed chocolate by shoving plastic tubes down their throats. Then the legs were cut open, exposing an artery. The artery was then clamped down. Of coarse, after the experiment the rats were killed. Also, in an other experiment, they force-fed mice a candy ingrediant, then made them swim in a substance containing water and white paint. The mice had to find a hidden platform in order to save their lives. They were killed and dissected afterwards. In yet an other deathly experiment, the rats were fed coacoa and then were anesthetized with carbon dioxide so the blood could be collected by sticking a needle in their tiny little hearts, leading to internal bleeding and other deadly complications. My information was collected from www.marscandykills.com.

Year of the Dog (sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

i'm soooooo sorry i haven't posted anything in like 25 million years, but i've been lost in my own little world for ever. so, i watched this awesome movie called Year of the Dog. THIS IS A WARNING: THIS IS THE SADDEST MOVIE EVER. Don't say that I didn't warn you. Thank you for this report from imdb.com:
Peggy is single, childless, in her 40s, a lonely executive assistant in a friendly office. Her dog Pencil is the love of her life, and when he dies after eating some sort of toxin, Peggy's life spins out of her control: a friendly neighbor invites her for dinner; a friendly staff member at her vet's calls with an abused dog he recommends she adopt - she does, and also finds herself attracted to this fellow. She becomes a vegan, supports animal-rights causes, and embroils her brother's young children in these concerns. Saving dogs and other animals become such a passion that her mental health and her job may be in danger. Are regaining control and finding love beyond her reach?

just to let you know, pencil isn't the only dog that dies. TWO OTHER DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know; it couldn't get much sadder. that's all i have for you tonight. thanx!!!!!!!!!
